One Day Pottery Retreat - 11 June
A very new one day workshop with me in the beautiful countryside - 11 June - 10am - 4pm - with lunch!
Nestled in the heart of the South Downs in Hampshire, this one-day hand building workshop offers something rarer than a pottery class — a genuine retreat from everyday life.
I’m really excited to offer this special workshop. Come and spend the day learning the fundamentals of hand building with clay. The workshop covers three essential techniques: pinching, slab building and coiling. You'll come away with at least three handmade pieces, which will be fired in the kiln and ready to collect approximately three weeks after the workshop.
The pace is unhurried and the atmosphere relaxed — this is a day designed for focus, creativity, and the simple pleasure of making something by hand.
Suitable for all levels. Beginners are warmly welcomed and will be guided through every step from scratch. More experienced potters can take their practice further with more ambitious, in-depth projects. If you have a specific piece you'd like to make or a technique you'd like to explore, I’d be more than happy to help you at this workshop.
A homemade lunch is included with my own freshly baked bread — a proper, nourishing break in the middle of all the learning and making.
What's included: Three or more handmade clay pieces (fired and ready to collect after three weeks) · Tuition in pinching, slab building and coiling · Personalised guidance for all levels · Homemade lunch with freshly baked bread · A day set in the beautiful South Downs landscape
