Join me for an intensive two day course where you can learn things all about hand building with clay. Handbuilding methods are the oldest form of creating from clay with infinite possibilities. You will be shown how to create sculptural pieces as well as functioning vessels. You will have lots of freedom to experiment and prepare for a final piece. This course will be ideal for someone wanting a kick start in ceramics but also for the more experienced potter to learn extra handbuilding skills and tips. Camilla has been making ceramics for 12 years and specialises in creating geometric pieces of work. The main methods you will be shown are slab building and coiling.Day one you will learn about the different methods and which tools are best to use. You will practice on some smaller pieces and prepare your clay for building and constructing on day two.
