Camilla’s inspiration for 3 dimensional wall art grew from a curiosity in perspective and illusion. Whilst developing and advancing these ideas she found a unique way in which to express her interests in these ideas through ceramics. She has created geometric and architectural forms that can be seen as tiles.
By making the tile into 3d she can create a tactile environment with a structured sense of movement and illusion. Camilla arranges the tiles so that they catch natural light and shadow adding an undulating nature to a space.
Rather than traditional tiles, their maximum impact is when placed as a feature wall or as an added interior decoration in place of a painting.
The tiles can be installed at random or in a block format, Camilla has no rule of where the tiles should go.
Camilla’s 3 dimensional wall tiles are ideal for private and commercial commissions. She is also happy to work with her clients to make site specific pieces.
Recently Camilla has created a range of mugs and plates which are available on this website or on Bouf.com. The design on the mugs and plates are taken from her logo which is a 2d line drawing of one of her tiles - can you guess which one?
